Dick became Treasurer in 2009.

From 1964 to 1973 he served as an engineer officer in the Royal Navy including time on conventional and nuclear submarines. Since then in civilian life he has had roles in acoustics and other technical fields and has run his own consultancy and import businesses.

Married to Barney in 1972, they live in White Colne and have a son and a daughter who flew the nest some time ago.

He is a keen glider pilot and qualified instructor.
