Richard is married to Ruth, they have 4 children, Ester, Thomas, Briony and Kate, born on 5 September 2003. 

Richard started out as a parish assistant in Shepton Mallet, before moving to the St Martins-in-the-Fields Social Care Unit, he then went on to ordination training at Wycliffe Hall. A period as curate in an urban priority parish led to his previous appointment as Chaplin at Lee Abbey Conference and Residential Centre in Devon.

Richard became our Rector in January 2002, his induction service took place at Aldham church on 11 January 2002. We are all very excited at Richard's new ministry here at Marks Tey & Aldham, and hope he will be with us for many years.

Richard has many talents, he plays several instruments, has written songs and has a wonderful voice. He has been actively involved in running Alpha courses and Lay Reader training.
